Personality I.D.®

The purpose of Personality I.D. is to provide you with a complimentary sample similar to what is offered in the Career Direct® Complete Guidance System. Some important reminders:
  • This is not a test.
  • There are no right or wrong answers.
  • The results will help you understand your basic personality profile and the characteristics shared by most people with that profile.
This assessment may look similar to others you have taken, but there are some important differences in the way Personality I.D.® analyzes your responses.
  • Reflect back on your entire life - respond on the way you would normally act without outside influences.
  • Do not respond based on what you think is most acceptable to others, or how you must act in order to succeed in your job.
  • Focus on your core self and respond based on your instinctive behavior, regardless of whether you consider it to be good or bad.

Guidelines

  1. Choose words that best describe what YOU are really like.
  2. WORK QUICKLY. Avoid agonizing over your choices.
  3. Your INITIAL CHOICE or reaction will usually be the best choice.
  4. On each screen, be sure to use ALL four numbers, and use each number ONLY one time.

Throughout this survey you will rate a set of words on a 4,3,2,1 scale - 4 being the word MOST like you down to 1, for the word least like you.

Technique

This assessment may look similar to others you have taken, but there are some important differences in the way Personality I.D. analyzes your responses.
  • Assign a 4 to the word that BEST describes you.
  • Assign a 1 to the word that LEAST describes you.
  • Consider the two remaining words and give the word that is more like you a 3. The remaining word will receive the value of 2.
